WHAT I'M READING
WHO I AM
I'm a second year Ph.D. student at Michigan State's Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures program.
I have an interdisciplinary background, including psychology, sociology, philosophy, and education. I love Rhetoric and Composition because I haven't had to erase my intellectual desires or my personal genealogies of knowing, and these certainly inform and influence the direction of my current interests.
I spent six years living in Shanghai, China thinking about ontology and epistemology as reflections of culture, all while having the privilege to teach high school and help students attain their dreams of pursuing higher education in the US.
My doctoral concentration area is Critical Feminist Theory, focusing on historiography, epistemology, and pedagogy.
